In a surprising crossover event that breaks conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the authorized statement, "A strange confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and monstrous transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine cult.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre trials and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Changes

The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Bonus Content

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana together with several items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
