The institute's chair, a ex-Amazon UK executive, confirmed that nearly eighty separate studies at the center employing hundreds have been closed, spun out or finished because they fail to match with the fresh focus.

In the health sector, the focus will be on developing virtual replicas of heart systems, representing a frontline of personalized AI-enabled medicine that could better therapeutic procedures and recovery prospects for seriously ill heart patients.
