Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in an LA Traffic Collision
The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in the state of California at the age of 55.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.
The celebrated industry figure lost his life when his automobile collided and caught fire on a motorway in LA on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a devastating loss, and we stand with his family and friends, those closest to him, and all those touched by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
